APU LPN Student Visit
Most of you have likely heard about the new-ish ACEN-accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Alaska Pacific University. APU holds an Education Affiliation Agreement with FHP and currently has a cohort rotating through various departments with the goal of practicing and gaining new skills.
Several students will rotate through both TLC Too and Preschool sites next Tuesday, February 27th, hoping to experience the energy, emotions and personalities they may come across in pediatric patients. Their preceptor is asking for parent permission, as they would ask permission from patients on behalf of the students, to listen to your child’s heart and lungs. This is non-diagnostic and is for experience and practice only.
