New Employee Orientation
Welcome to The Learning Center!
Welcome, we are excited to have you here! Through your initial employee trainings your will learn the basics of what we do here at TLC, your trainings will go hand and hand with your work in the classroom, we encourage you to ask questions! We all look forward to getting to know you and we hope you come to see why we all think TLC is an amazing place to teach and learn.
Philosophy:
Through focusing on the whole child, empowering their thoughts, questions, interests, we believe that we will foster a lifelong love of learning. Using a Reggio-Inspired approach and adopting the core values of the Reggio Emilia philosophy we are able to; promote effective and meaningful learning, share in the learning experiences of each child, follow high-quality care standards, and consider new and developing research in the field of early childhood as we thoughtfully and intentionally evolve our practice to best teach the children we serve.
Mission:
The Learning Center will maintain a high quality learning environment for all children. Teachers work to help the children explore their world through thoughtful exploration and reflective documentation. Teachers work to stay current in the field and follow best practices when working with children. Through; provocations, art experiences, and scaffolding teachers are able to learn alongside the children as they give them the tools and encouragement to help each child be successful.
Vision:
Children and Teachers will create a classroom where learning through play is an ongoing shared experience.
