This is a day for us to come together to learn, reflect and plan to put things into action! You are crucial to making this day a success! Housekeeping

With our abundance of illnesses we will be touching base on housekeeping questions virtually in lieu of a in person hallway or building memo style meeting to ensure everyone gets any answers they need. Please submit any questions here.

Classroom purchasing/reimbursement reminder;
Purchases for classroom items must be approved if you intend to be reimbursed.

Planning sheets and expectation; we are reimplementing and refocusing on daily planning! Riley will be checking in to go over this with teaching teams today and next week for those who are unable to attend on 3/17. Refresh on Daily Planning Here.

Policy Reviews are Returning! We are bringing back the in person "cliff-notes" style policy reviews to give us all a chance to learn and explore our program policies and implementation. If you have one you would like us to focus on submit it on our FHPTLC main page survey box. 

Child Portfolios; What? When? How? Check out our guide here!

We will be introducing TLC classroom provided sunscreen and toothpaste this year! Sunscreen and toothpaste will be provided for parents who choose to use it. This should help us make parenting just a tiny bit easier as we streamline our processes. We will put out more information to you soon!

SEED Renewals Are on Hold

Typically we renew SEED in March and in October, but this is currently on hold as they continue to transfer their systems to a new portal. In the meantime all accounts have been extended until the new site is up at which point you will receive a notice from SEED to renew then.

Philosophy Focus!

Please read the TLC Philosophy, Vision and Mission and reflect on what you can work on to better support our philosophy and mission. Make a plan for what you can do today to follow these aspirations; adjust materials to the children's interests, make intentional changes to your environment; curating books, materials, centers to create a classroom of intentionality. Then if time allows; add shelf labels, post your routine schedule for visiting teachers (if not already posted), deep clean (use the naeyc cleaning table for reference), organize your toy storage areas to create systems that work (or even the buildings), touch up chipped paint and remove staples, update child photos on the walls, etc. Most importantly USE this time, the bulk of the day is yours to make the most of!

​As you walk through the classrooms we hope you take note of the intentionality of the environments. Giving you a chance to get a feel for all of our rooms as we know many of us don't see more than our own classrooms. This will hopefully help you get inspired to continue to create a classroom where learning through play is visible and at your classrooms core.
